Christian Eriksen scored just two minutes into his return for Denmark in a 4-2 defeat to the Netherlands on Saturday night. The 30-year-old hadn't featured for his country since he suffered a cardiac arrest on the pitch at Euro 2020.
After making a remarkable recovery, Eriksen has had an implantable cardiovascular defibrillator (ICD) fitted, which forced him to leave Inter Milan due to Italian sport laws.
However, the midfielder was offered a fresh opportunity during the January transfer window as he signed a short-term deal with Brentford where he was reunited with his former Denmark youth coach, Thomas Frank.

While being eased into the first team fold, Eriksen has made three Premier League appearances for the Bees, and got his first assist during their victory over Burnley.
