The Indian men's hockey team is all set to compete in their first competitive tournament of the year with Hockey FIH Pro League 2022. India will start the tournament by playing against France in the season opener on 8 February. Potchefstroom, South Africa will host the tournament starting from 8 February to 13 February.

The Indian men's hockey team had a great here in 2021 and now they are on their way to carry the streak this year also as they begin their campaign in the Hockey FIH Pro League 2022. The Manpreet Singh-led team will also take on the host South Africa in the 2nd clash of their campaign on Wednesday. 2015 Fintro Hockey World League semi-final was the last time clash when India faced France. In fact, India won 3-2 during the last face-off.
