Hockey India on Friday announced a 24-member Indian Men's Hockey Team for the 100th Anniversary Spanish Hockey Federation International Tournament, which will play a four-nation tournament in Terrasa, Spain from July 25th to 30th. The tournaments is also important in preparation for the much-awaited Hero Asian Champions Trophy Chennai 2023, which will be followed by the crucial Hangzhou Asian Games 2023.

The Indian Men's Hockey Team will play against the England, Netherlands, and hosts Spain under the leadership of dragflicker and defender Harmanpreet Singh and Vice Captain prolific midfielder Hardik Singh. The matches are being played to mark the 100th anniversary of the Spanish Hockey Federation International Tournament.
Sreejesh Parattu Raveendran and Krishan Bahadur Pathak will take charge of the goalkeeping department. While Harmanpreet Singh, Amit Rohidas, Jarmanpreet Singh, Manpreet Singh, Sanjay will maintain the defence. Veteran defender Varun Kumar and Nilam Sanjeep Xess are back after being missed the FIH Pro League matches in Belgium.
Meanhile in the midfield, Hardik Singh, Vivek Sagar Prasad, Shamsher Singh, Raj Kumar Pal will take the charge. Moreover, Sumit and Nilakanta Sharma are also back in the squad after missing the FIH Pro League matches in Belgium.
At the same time, the forward line will have the lethal attacking prowess of Lalit Kumar Upadhyay, Mandeep Singh, Gurjant Singh, Sukhjeet Singh, Abhishek, Pawan, Dilpreet Singh, Simranjeet Singh, and Karthi Selvam. These skilful and agile forwards possess the ability to score crucial goals, create scoring opportunities, and apply relentless pressure on the opponents' defense.

It will help us identify areas that need improvement, thus playing a vital role in our preparations for the Asian Champions Trophy and the Asian Games.
