Canada defeated their rivals the USA and emerged victorious in Ice Hockey in the Beijing Olympics 2022. Canada beat the USA 3-2 and won the Olympic gold medal for the fifth time on Thursday. In the Beijing Olympics this year, Canada was nothing but dominant.
Canada laid with 3-0 in the second period of the match and even after being out-shot 40-21, they clinched the title. The power of Canada in ice Hockey is immense and exceptional. The inaugural year of this event in the Olympics is 1998 and since then no other country except the USA ever won the gold in the past 7 Olympics games. Canada is dominating with 5 times wins and on the other hand, the USA won it twice.
Marie-Philip Poulin scored trice for Canada in the finals. She said after the win, "It's just so good. It's a great feeling. It was one hell of an effort. This is redemption."
Sarah Fillier, the Canadian ice Hockey player said, "It is insane. I can't stop thinking. It's a dream come true."
