Aman made a dominant debut in the 57kg category of Asian Olympic Qualifiers, defeating his first two rivals Yerassyl Mukhtaruly and Sunggwon Kim by technical superiority.
Aman lost against Adbullaev
However, he failed to continue the momentum against Uzbekistan's Gulomjon Abdullaev and lost after trailing by 10 points. The Uzbek employed takedowns and a spectacular throw to race to a 10-0 lead before pinning the Indian in the first period itself.
The Uzbek attacked Aman's right leg and effected a single-leg takedown in the first minute itself and soon threatened to run away with the bout after grabbing both his legs.
Aman barely warded off the attack before the relentless Abdullaev came roaring back with a four-point duck under. A shocked Aman tried some feeble attacks but Abdullaev's defence was up to the task. He ended the contest by pinning Aman and pocketing the Paris quota.
The Indian wrestling world had high expectations from Aman as he had won the opportunity to represent the country by defeating Ravi Dahiya, who was considered strong in his age group.
Meanwhile, Jaideep lost in the quarter-finals against Orozobek Toktomambetov of Kyrgyzstan after the match was tied 2–2. Sumit (125kg) also lost to Kyrgyzstan's Lkhagvagerel Munkhtur in his first round by technical superiority, while Deepak Nehra (97kg) lost to Arash Yoshida in the qualification round by technical superiority.

Deepak Punia and Sujeet Kalkal's flight reached late
Earlier, due to bad weather in Dubai, Deepak Punia and Sujeet Kalkal's flight reached Bishkek late. Both were stranded at Dubai International Airport and could not reach on time for weighing because of heavy rains and floods.
Sources said that despite the requests of the Indian coaches, the organizers did not allow them. Punia (86 kg) had come close to winning a medal in the Tokyo Olympics. He and Sujeet (65 kg) reached Bishkek to participate in the Asian Olympic Qualifiers tournament for the Paris Olympics while most of the flights from Dubai were either cancelled or delayed due to waterlogging at the airport.
