After setting up high hopes for the Indian contingent in Table Tennis, Manika Batra bids goodbye to Tokyo Olympics. To clarify, Indian star player Manika Batra lost her women's singles third-round match. That is to say, she lost 0-4 (8-11, 2-11, 5-11, 7-11) against 10th seed Sofia Polcanova of Austria.

Even while departing she set a new record as an Indian. She became the first Indian Table Tennis player to reach round 3 in the Olympics.
