However, India recorded their best ever Olympic haul of 7 medals. With Mirabai Chanu & Ravi Kumar Dahiya bags Silver. Also, Wrestler Bajrang Punia, Boxer Lovlina Borgohain and Shuttler P.V Sindhu got Bronze in their respective events. Indian Hockey Team also bags Bronze after losing Semi Finals.
However, India misses out a dozen of Olympic medals this year. Firstly, Golfer Aditi Ashok narrowly missed out on a medal by finishing fourth in the women's individual Stroke Play. Secondly, Indian Women's Hockey Team looses their Bronze medal match by a narrow margin. Moreover, Deepika Kumari & Atanu Das looses their Archery Semi Final's in their Individual events. Also Tarundeep Rai couldn't made it through the Quarter Finals in Archery. Moreover, India will be very much disappoint with their performance in Boxing. Although, Lovlina bags Bronze. But, Mary Kom, Pooja Rani, Simranjeet Kaur, Satish Kumar and Amit Panghal will be disappoint with their results. Specially Pooja Rani, She plays brilliantly till Quarter Final's.

Although Kamalpreet Kaur has done well in her debut Olympic. However, She qualifies for the Finals of Women's discuss throw. Although She couldn't bring medal but, she ranked 6th in the Finals. Also, Annu Rani fails just a little short to made it through the Finals of Javelin Throw.
Also in Wrestling Deepak Punia looses his Bronze medal match. However, in women's Wrestling Vinesh Phogat fails with her expectation as She looses in her Semi Final match in 53kg event. However, Manika Batra reaches to the Round 3 in Table Tennis Women's individuals. But, She could not made it to the next round. Moreover, Seema Bisla also fails to match the expectations. Also, Sajan Prakash fails in 100m & 200m Butterfly events in Swimming at the Tokyo Olympics.
