The Manchester City captain is set to sign a new 1 year contract with an option of a further 12 months with Barcelona as per reports by Fabrizio Romano. He was in talks with City over a new deal as his contract was set to expire at the end of June but it didn't happen.

The 32-year-old has been instrumental in City's historic treble win. He scored some really important goals for City over the years making him one of the most clutch players in the Premier League history.

In football transfer news, Barcelona has been interested in the German international for quite some time now but because of La Liga's FFP rules Barcelona haven't been able to sign the player but according to multiple reports it's not gonna be a problem now.

Gundogan has spent seven years at City and in his time there he has won five Premier League titles, two FA Cups, four League cups and a Champions League making him a Manchester City legend.

Tonali to Newcastle United

Newcastle are pushing hard for the signing of Sandro Tonali, as the PL club is set to pay €70m plus add-ons for the AC Milan midfielder. They are said to be in pole position to sign the midfielder.

Officials from Newcastle United were in talks on Wednesday and the members involved in the deal are confident that the deal is gonna be successful. Chelsea is expected to make a late move but at this stage it seems like the player is going to Newcastle United.

Tonali is regarded as one of the brightest young talents in Italy. He has been a revelation for Milan since joining on a season long loan from Brescia in 2020. The Rossoneri signed Tonali permanently for €15m plus add-ons the following summer and a year later he helped them to lift the Serie A title. He has played 14 games for his country, Italy.

Newcastle is set to make him a record signing with offering to pay AC Milan €70m upfront plus-add ons. The last record signing for Newcastle was Alexander Isak, who cost the magpies £59m in transfer fees.

Final verdict!

So it will be another El Classico in the Copa Del Rey final in Sevilla. Barcelona were the better team and attacked more in the first half, resulting in a goal from Ferran Torres. They could have scored more if they had latched onto the chances created mainly by Lamine Yamal.

But atletico Madrid brought in three changes at the start of the second half, which made them attack more frequently and freely.

However, despite a few chances, they were not able to score. Jules Kounde was excellent for Barcelona, making multiple blocks in the final 15 mins of the game.

This means that Barcelona will meet Real Madrid in the Copa del Dey final and will be another step closer to their target of a treble.

Atletico Madrid's season is on the verge of collapsing after watching their Champions League dreams shattered after losing to city rivals Real Madrid on penalties in the RO16, and their La Liga title ambitions suffering a blow with only one win out of four in March.

They failed to keep up a two-goal advantage to lose 4-2 in their home league match against league-leaders Barcelona, before they came back from the international break with a 1-1 draw against Espanyol in an away match. Consequently, the Copa del Rey is Atletico's best hope to lift a trophy this season as they will be seeking to win the tournament for the first time since 2012-13.

However, head coach Diego Simeone must look for the best combination before fielding his eleven tonight. Veteran midfielder Koke is set to miss this game, whereas Robin Le Normand is doubtful. Forward Angel Correa will serve the third of a five-match ban.

The semi-final tie with Barcelona is perfectly balanced after Atletico scored two late goals to earn a 4-4 draw in last month's away leg, though the Rojiblancos may find themselves tensed by the fact that they have not advanced beyond their previous three Copa del Rey semi-final ties.

FC Barcelona

Unlike their hosts, FC Barcelona are still in the race to win three more titles alongside the Spanish Super Cup, won in January. The Blaugranas have registered a 20-game unbeaten streak in all competitions (W17, D3) since losing 2-1 to Atletico Madrid in December's league match at home.

They are sitting atop the La Liga table with 66 points in 29 games, are in the Champions League quarter-finals, and are on the verge of qualifying for a first Copa del Rey final since clinching it in 2020-21.

Interestingly, The Catalan side have defeated each of their last three away games against Atletico since losing 2-0 to them in a La Liga encounter in October 2021.

Barcelona gaffer Hansi Flick announced Raphinha and Cubarsi's return to the team. On the other hand, Marc Andre Ter Stegen returned to training but will not be available. Marc Casado suffered an unfortunate injury, while Marc Bernal and Andreas Christensen are recovering from long-term injuries.

Barcelona will gain confidence from the fact that they have advanced from eight of their last nine Copa del Rey semi-final encounters. They have also staged a stunning 4-2 comeback victory in LaLiga against Atletico at Metroplitano in early March.

Pedri, the young FC Barcelona midfielder, has drawn serious interest from the reigning Premier League champions, Manchester City, who are reportedly ready to offer a whopping €100 million for the Spanish midfielder.

According to El Nacional, former Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola, who is currently at the helm of Man City, has conveyed his interest to the Club's upper echelons to rope in the 22-year-old midfielder.

Man City are prepared to bid €100 million for Pedri

Pedri has been enjoying a great season at FC Barcelona, having scored 5 goals and provided 7 assists in 44 appearances for the Catalan giants this season. However, his contribution goes beyond the goal involvements, which shows why he has won eight Man of the Match awards in his last ten games for the club.

The 22-year-old midfielder is currently on a mega five-year contract with Barcelona that runs until June 2030. Pedri's contract also includes a release clause set at €1 billion, implying his utmost importance in building the long-term planning of FC Barcelona.

However, Pedri is currently valued at €120 million, according to transfermarkt, which is significantly higher than what Manchester City are keen to offer.

The English club has reportedly assessed all the financial aspects and feasibilities of the bid and are prepared to put forward a €100 million transfer fee offer to Barcelona.

Despite the reports, Pedri has not shown any interest in leaving the Blaugrana colours since joining the club from Las Palmas in September 2019, whereas Barcelona will also not be very keen to let Pedri leave.

With the potential departure of key midfielder Kevin De Bruyne said to be imminent, Pep Guardiola is looking to rejuvenate his midfield structure while keeping an eye on Pedri. Nico Gonzalez, another former Barcelona midfielder, was acquired by Man City in February 2025.
