According to the latest Premier League News, Manchester United claimed victory after defeating Brentford. However, the win was not sufficient for Cristiano Ronaldo's temper as the Manchester United star reacted angrily after being subbed off towards the end of his side's 3-1 win.

Goals from Anthony Elanga, Mason Greenwood, and Marcus Rashford were enough to see United through at Brentford Community Stadium and brought Manchester United to winning ways.

According to the latest Premier League News, Cristiano Ronaldo has been out since January 3 due to a hip problem. However, he made a comeback to the team after sitting out for two games. Moreover, he failed to make the scoresheet as the Reds' young attacking players took control.

Once Greenwood put his side 2-0 up after 70 minutes, interim manager Rangnick chose to take the veteran out of the game and bring on Harry Maguire to bolster his defence.

The Portuguese superstar was not happy after getting subbed off for Harry Maguire. He muttered "Why me? Why me ... Why would you take me off?" before getting off the pitch.

What was Rangnick's reaction to this situation?

Speaking to BT Sport about Ronaldo's reaction to his substitution, Rangnick said: "That is normal - a striker wants to score - but he has come back from a little injury and it was important to remember we have got another game coming up."

Rangnick, adding more: "The only reaction I noticed is he was asking me 'why me?' and I said I had to take a decision in the interest of the team.

"I didn't expect him to hug me after being subbed, I know how goal-scoring players tick.

"I have no issue whatsoever with Cristiano, he came back from an injury and didn’t train for one and half weeks. Why should I not make use of the players on the bench?"
