10+2 Zila School, Chaibasa West, Singhun, Jharkhand; Tripura Sports School, Agartala, Tripura; Govt. Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 37B, Chandigarh; MIC EMHSS, Athanikkal, Valluvambram, Malappuram, Kerala; CT Higher Secondary School, Mayang, Imphal, Manipur; Govt. Haulawng High School, Lunglei, Mizoram; Pilgrim Higher Secondary School, Dimapur, Nagaland and St. Anthony's Higher Secondary School, Shillong, Meghalaya qualified for the quarter finals in the Juniour Boys (U 17) of the 61st Subroto Cup International Football Tournament played here at different venues.

The quarter finals will be played on Sunday (9th October) at Ambedkar Stadium and Subroto Park Football Ground which promises some enthralling matches between the best school teams in the country.

Earlier in the day 10+2 Zila School, Jharkhand beat 31 Bengal BN (National Cadet Corps) 2 – 1 in the deciding match for the quarterfinals from Pool A. Animesh gave the lead for NCC in the 3rd minute but the school from Jharkhand came from behind and won the match with the help of goals from Suklal (59') and Dharam (69').

The final group stage match of the tournament saw Mamta Modern Senior Secondary School, Vikaspuri, Delhi beat Shaheen School and Colleges, Bangladesh 4 – 0 ending the tournament on a high.
