They broke Bayern's 11-year dominance and won their first-ever league title in some dominant fashion. Leverkusen beat Werder Bremen by 5-0 at home to lift the title. Alonso’s Leverkusen defends in a 5-2-2-1 without the ball and stays narrow and compact. The back three offer solidity and the wing-backs provide crucial width in attack.
