After her loss in the Women's doubles, this was the last chance for Sania Mirza to make it big in her last Grand slam in Australian Open 2023. The Indian pair with Rohan Bopanna kept the hopes alive of Indian fans at the first slam tournament of the year. The mixed doubles duo got a walkover from their quarter-final opponents Elena Ostapenko and David Vega Hernandez.

In the semi-final of the Australian Open 2023, the Indian pair will face the winner of D. Krawczyk/N. Skupski and T. Townsend/J. Murray. Sania would be hoping to add another Grand Slam title to her name in the last Grand slam tournament of her career. Sania already has an Australian Open against her name when she won the Women's Doubles event in 2016.
