The ongoing breach going on between Novak Djokovic and the Australian government is the talk of the town at the moment. The inclusion of the World No. 1 tennis player in the Australian Open 2022 is doubtful and uncertain. Rafael Nadal shared his views on this ongoing discussion at Melbourne Park on Monday. Nadal said, "as a person, of course, and as an athlete, without a doubt".

The Spaniard further added, "I really respect him, even if I don't agree with a lot of the things that he did the last couple of weeks. I think the situation have been too far. Honestly, I'm a little bit tired of the situation because I just believe that it's important to talk about our sport, about tennis"

When asked about Novak and the Grand Slam tournament, Nadal shrugged his shoulders, exhaled, and said, "Honestly, I'm a little bit tired of the situation." The Australian Open is much more important than any player. If he's playing, finally, OK. If he's not playing, the Australian Open will be a great Australian Open, with or without him. That's my point of view."
