Two-time champion at Roland Garros, defending champion Novak Djokovic reached the third round of the French Open 2023 tennis tournament after a second-round win over Hungary's Marton Fucsovics on Wednesday at the Philippe Chatrier Court.

The Serb defeated Fucsovics in three straight sets 7-6(2), 6-0, 6-3 at the French Open 2023 tennis tournament. The duration of the first set surprisingly lasted one hour, 30 minutes but Novak Djokovic prevailed and won the first set. After a win over the Hungarian, the 36-year-old reached his third consecutive round at Roland Garros here.
In the first set of the French Open 2023 tennis match, Novak was leading 3–0. But later found himself serving at 5–3 as his opponent made a comeback. Djokovic struggled to find his rhythm in the first set. He even shouted towards his player's box in frustration as he struggled with his footwork in the first set. the Serb later dominated the tiebreak round of the first set, winning the round by a score of 7–2.
In the second set, the world No. 3 seed easily outclassed her opponent and won the set 6–6. Fucsovics forced Djokovic to serve hard in the third set. The third set ended with a score of 6-3 in Dojokovic's favor.

After the match, 22-time Grand Slam winner Novak Djokovic said, "There was a lot of intensity in the first set. I found my best game again in the second, and the third too, and in the end I'm happy with my game." He had scrawled the message "Kosovo is the heart of Serbia. Stop the violence" on a camera following his first-round match on Monday.
The Serb has still not failed to reach the third round of a Grand Slam tournament since the 2017 Australian Open. Novak Djokovic will face Spanish player Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in the third round of the French Open 2023 tennis tournament.
