Wimbledon celebrated the centenary of Centre Court on Church Road on Sunday. Many tennis personalities like- Rod Laver, Billie Jean King, Chris Evert, Venus Williams, Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer were there in this occasion. Fans went wild after Federer entered the Wimbledon Centre Court.

Federer wants to compete in Wimbledon at least one more time. He said at the Centre Court, "I hope I can come back one more time. I've missed it here, I knew walking out here last year, it was going to be a tough year ahead."

The eight-time Wimbledon champion has injured his knee last year during the Grass court season. Since then he is trying to regain his fitness to come back for the last Grand Slam of the year, the US Open. He last achieved Wimbledon title in 2017 and Grand Slam title in 2018 Australia Open.

"I maybe didn't think it was going to take this long to come back -- the knee has been rough on me." Federer said.

The Swiss player has won his first Grand Slam title at Wimbledon after defeating Mark Philippoussis in the final. It was 'awkward' for him to be back in the cathedral of the sport, not as a player. He said about what Wimbledon means to him, "This court has given me my biggest wins and my biggest losses."
