Star tennis player Novak Djokovic will not be able to participate in the US Open 2022. This is the second Grand Slam this year in which Djokovic is unable to participate.

Serbia's legendary tennis player Novak Djokovic will not appear in the US Open. In fact, new guidelines related to the Corona vaccine were issued for foreign nationals in America. After which Novak Djokovic has withdrawn his name from the US Open to be held in New York. Djokovic has been opposing the Corona vaccine for a long time, many veteran players have also supported his opposition. Rafael Nadal and Daniil Medvedev are also disappointed about Djokovic's absence at the US Open.
"From my personal perspective, it's very sad news. It's always a shame when the best players of the world are not able to play a tournament because of injuries or because of different reasons. In this case, not having one of the best players of history in the draw of the Grand Slam is always an important miss, no?" Rafael Nadal said.

Djokovic gave information about being out of the US Open from his Twitter handle.
The 21-time Grand Slam champion Djokovic was hopeful that the CDC in America would issue a new guideline related to the Kovid vaccine for foreign travelers, under which it would not be mandatory to take the Covid vaccine. The CDC has removed these guidelines for US citizens. In such a situation, Djokovic also hoped that this rule would be changed for foreign travelers as well. With Which he would be able to participate in the US Open but it did not happen.
"It's a pity he (Djokovic) is not here. It would be a great story I think for tennis. Not only tennis-wise, but it's not us tennis players, it's American government rules. Completely understandable also." World No. 1 Daniil Medvedev said in a statement.
