The Indian track and field athlete Chopra overtook Anderson Peters of Grenada
Chopra now has 1455 points, 22 ahead of Peters in the world rankings
He became the first Indian to win a gold medal in a track and field event at the Tokyo Olympics
The 25-year-old Indian continued his brilliance in 2023, wining the first Diamond league meeting
Chopra won the Diamond League with a world-leading effort of 88.67 m
He will next compete at the Fanny Blankers-Koen Games at Hengelo, the Netherlands on June 4
