Bihar's Sakibul Gani broke the world record for highest individual run on a first-class debut in the Ranji Trophy 2021-22. He smashed 341 runs against Manipur in Kolkata.

IN A RANJI TROPHY MATCH BETWEEN BIHAR AND MIZORAM, SAKIBUL GANI SCORED HIS MAIDEN FIRST-CLASS TRIPLE CENTURY ON HIS DEBUT IN JU CAMPUS GROUND, KOLKATA

THE 22-YEAR BATTER HIT 56 FOURS AND TWO SIXES TO CREATE THIS WORLD RECORD. HE WAS DISMISSED ON 341 OFF 405 BALLS AS BIHAR DECLARED FOR 686/5 AFTER 159.4 OVERS.

BEFORE HIM IT WAS AJAY ROHERA OF MP WHO HELD THE RECORD OF HIGHEST INDIVIDUAL SCORE ON FIRST-CLASS DEBUT. HIS  267* CAME AGAINST HYDERABAD IN 2018-19 SEASON.
