Meanwhile, in the opening encounter, Afghan pacer Fazalhaq Farooqi put up a brilliant performance. He picked up three wickets giving away just 11 runs including a maiden in his four overs spell.

Farooqi's bowling helped Afghanistan to restrict Sri Lanka to just 105. Afghani Openers Zazai and Gurbaz chased down the target within 10.1 overs to clinch the first victory of the season. They will be hoping for another one here in Sharjah.
