ICC Women's Player of the month nominees

International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the Players of the Month for the month of February today. Indian cricketers Mithali Raj and Deepti Sharma, and New Zealand all-rounder Amelia Kerr are the ICC Women's player of the month nominees

The month of February witnessed quite some impactful performances in both men's and women's cricket. The respective cricketers claimed their name in various matches and made their name on this prestigious list.

Mithali Raj

The Indian women's team played a 5-match ODI series against New Zealand where Mithali Raj was one of the very few impactful cricketers. The captain was the highest Indian run-scorer and the second-highest between the two teams with 232 runs. With an average of 77.33 and a strike rate of 82.56, the Indian veteran cricketer hit 3 half-centuries and aggregated the total runs. The team only managed to win the last match of the series where her unbeaten 54 runs played a very crucial part in finishing the match.

Deepti Sharma

Deepti Sharma was phenomenal during the ODI series against New Zealand. The Indian all-rounder was impactful with both the bat and the ball. She was not only the highest wicket-taker (10) in the series but also aggregated 116 runs in 5 matches. Her wickets also include a four-for in the 2nd ODI, which she followed with 69 runs in the 3rd ODI.

Amelia Kerr

Amelia Kerr was simply exceptional and in her best form with both bat and ball. In the same ODI series against India, Amelia made the most runs in the series and also became the joint highest wicket-taker for the White Ferns. In the 5-match ODI series, she aggregated 353 runs with an average of 117.6 and a strike rate of 97.51. Her total runs also include 1 ton and 3 half-centuries. Speaking of bowling, she scalped a total of 7 wickets with an economy of 5.78. In conclusion, she was also awarded the Player of the Match in 2 ODIs and the Player of the Series.
