India vs West Indies: Eden Gardens to host the full T20I series

According to reports, Eden Gardens Cricket Stadium will host the whole India vs West Indies T20I series set to start from 15th February.

According to reports, Eden Gardens Cricket Stadium will host the whole India vs West Indies T20I series set to start from 15th February.

India is all set to play three ODIs and three T20Is from 6th February. After the completion of the South African tour, this will be their first assignment at home in 2022. This bi-lateral series will definitely determine with what combination India will go in the coming world cups. According to reports, Eden Gardens, Kolkata will host the whole T20I series starting from 15th February to 20th February.

The Cricket Association of Bengal has been one of the best hosts of international matches in India. The iconic ground of Eden Gardens has got a reputation for hosting mega ICC events like ICC World Cup finals as well. Even, they also had hosted the first-ever pink ball test in India with mega-success, where Virat Kohli scored his 70th international ton.

The third and final T20I between India and New Zealand also was played at the Eden Gardens last year. With a capacity of nearly 70000 spectators, it will be interesting to see spectators will be allowed or not. In that case, the state and central government's involvement might be seen as well. Although, there were 70% of people allowed in the India vs New Zealand match.

With one ground hosting the full India vs West Indies T20I series, players will feel more comfortable due to less travel n Covid situations.

The first T20I will be played on 15th February. Meanwhile, the second and the third T20I match will be played on 18th and 20th February respectively. All the matches will start from 7 pm onwards.
