India's WTC 2023 schedule and fixtures

India lost the inauguration WTC 2021 Final against New Zealand. However, they already kick starts their WTC 2023 campaign against England.

The 2nd World Test Championship(WTC) cycle has been released and India is scheduled to play Sri Lanka, New Zealand, Australia at home. However, Virat Kohli's team India's real test will be in the away series. Although, They are playing England in the away series as well as will travel to South Africa and Bangladesh.

India lost the inauguration WTC 21 Final against New Zealand. Although, the match was went to day 6 (Reserved Day) for rain interruption. New Zealand won the match by eight wickets to be crowned as the winners of the inaugural ICC World Test Championship. However, Indian captain Virat Kohli, said after losing the inaugural WTC final he expects his side to regroup with "new energy" in the new cycle.

India's next World Test Championship with three away tours lined up in the next two years. Although, India has already starts their campaign with the England series on August 4, 2021. As per rule, each of the nine nations in the World Test Championship calendar play against six nations of their choice. However, India will play Sri Lanka instead of West Indies, whom they played in 2019 during the inaugural edition. While the August 4 start of the five-Test series against England kicks off India's WTC campaign. They will also tour South Africa between December 2021 to January 2022. There is also an away series against Bangladesh in November 2022.

India will host New Zealand in November this year for two Test matches and also Sri Lanka will be hosted in February-March 2022 after the away tour of South Africa.
