The 8 old IPL teams have announced their retention list ahead of the IPL 2022 mega auction. Meanwhile, there are a few surprises in the retention list of each team. Each of the teams has released some of their big players ahead of the mega auction in January.
Sunrisers Hyderabad released David Warner and Rashid Khan ahead of the IPL 2022 season. We have seen David Warner has a great run in the T20 World Cup 2021. He will surely be a big but in the upcoming auction. Moreover, Delhi Capitals released Shreyas Iyer and Kagiso Rabada. Mumbai Indians release the Pandya brothers while RCB releases Yuzi Chahal and Devdutt Paddikal.

Meanwhile, Punjab Kings releases their skipper KL Rahul and Universe Boss Chris Gayle ahead of the mega auction. Moreover, Rajasthan Royals management decides to release Ben Stokes and Jofra Archer from their team. KKR management releases their biggest buy of the IPL 2020 season Pat Cummins ahead of the IPL 2022 season.
