All the 8 old teams have announced their retention's for the IPL 2022 season last week. However, the two new teams Lucknow and Ahmedabad will soon announce their 3 retention's for their 1st IPL season. The dates for their three retention's is within December 25.

Meanwhile, in those old IPL teams retention's Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, and Ravindra Jadeja got the highest salary of 16 crores. While, Virat Kohli earns 15 crores, 2 crores less than his previous salary. Kane Williamson got the highest salary as an overseas player. He got 14 crores as he has been picked by the SRH management for the upcoming season.
The three retention's for the two news IPL teams will be inside 33 crores. However, that will be distinguished in 15, 11 and 7 crores respectively for the three retention's. Now, let's take a look at the top 10 highest-paid players for the upcoming IPL season.
