Tendulkar won the toss in the final and chose to bat first despite the dew factor which surprised the commentators at the time. But, however, his decision was proven correct. Wicketkeeper-batter Naman Ojha as he smashed an unbeaten 108 in 71 balls to help India Legends finish at 195/6.

Tendulkar (0) and Suresh Raina (4) had an off night. But, Ojha's innings along with Vinay Kumar's 36 in 21 balls playing the role of pinch-hitter proved to be crucial.

In reply, Sri Lanka Legends were bowled out for 162 in the 19th over. Vinay picked up three wickets and Abhimanyu Mithun took two. Ishan Jayratne scored 51 in 22 balls but it was too late for the Sri Lankan side to mount a challenge as India Legends completed a clinical 33-run win.
