Sanju Samson has become the first Rajasthan Royals batsman to score 3000 runs in IPL. On Sunday, he achieved this feat in the 23rd match of IPL 2023 against Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.

Sanju reached the milestone in 115 innings while captaining Rajasthan Royals yesterday. He made his IPL debut in 2013 for KKR and now he established himself as one of the prominent members of the Rajasthan team.

In yesterday's match, Sanju led his team from the front again Gujarat Titans and helped the team to be on the winning side. He came to bat at 4/2 while chasing 178 runs and scored a brilliant fifty to take his team home. He scored the half-century in just 29 balls and smashed 3 fours and 6 sixes.

Earlier Sanju Samson played for Delhi Capital for a short time span. He scored 3,683 runs in 143 matches at an average of 29.23. He also slammed three centuries and 19 fifties. Alongside Sanju, another opener of Rajasthan Royals who's very close to Samson is Jos Butler. Butler scored 2508 runs in 63 appearances for the side and could be the second name to cross the same landmark in the coming seasons.

With the victory of yesterday's match, Rajasthan Royals are now at the top of the IPL 2023 points table. They have accumulated 8 points and Gujarat Titans is now at the third position with 6 points.
