Shubman Gill has been in the news since winning the U19 World Cup for India. But, his true potential converted into results from the last two years in international cricket. The opener batter has been in tremendous touch with the bat and has been phenomenal in the previous 18 ODIs of his career. Gill scored another ton against New Zealand and registered the fifth-highest opening partnership for India in ODIs along with Rohit Sharma.
In his last 18 One-day internationals for India, Gill scored 1204 runs at an average of 86.07. Not only that, he managed to become the youngest Indian and male player ever to score a double ODI ton. With this latest ton against New Zealand in the third ODI of the INDvsNZ series, Gill has scored three ODI tons in his last four innings.
