South Africa vs India 2021: Ravindra Jadeja ruled out of the series

The Rahul Dravid era of Indian cricket has started with a bang. India has been brilliant with every department in the most recent series against New Zealand. Now, they look ahead towards the South Africa series to end the season on a high. But, team India will be touring without the No.1 all-rounder in the World, Ravindra Jadeja. The left-arm spinner will be missing the whole tour of South Africa vs India 2021.

Jadeja has been brilliant in the last two to three years with both and ball. However, it is his batting that has been impressive. Perhaps, he is the most improved batsman in the team right now.

It has been reported that Jadeja will miss entire South Africa vs India 2021 series due to a hamstring injury. The No.1 ranked all-rounder in the world has pulled his hamstring muscle before the second test against New Zealand in Mumbai.

The selection panel will now have to work it out for his replacement. Looks like Axar Patel will be the go-to man to replace the left-arm bowler. However, it will be interesting to see if he makes a place in the playing eleven considering the pitches of South Africa.

It will be an opportunity for captain Virat Kohli to be the first-ever Indian captain to win against England, Australia, and South Africa at their dawn. Interestingly, the Indian A team is also in South Africa playing unofficial test series. Therefore, we might see some players from the A-team make the cut into the senior squad as well. With the Covid-19 crisis going on, team India might look to have a bigger squad for the South Africa vs India 2021 series.
