Namibian bowler Jan Frylinck ranked 7th among the most wicket-takers list of the T20 World Cup. The Namibian bowler took 9 wickets with an average of 18.66 in the World Cup games. However, Namibia finished 5th in the Super 12 Group 2 and performed well in the initial round 1.

Bangladesh star all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan comes in the top 5 on the list. Although Shakib didn't play in the last two games due to his injury, he performed brilliantly in the games that he played. He took 11 wickets with an average of 11.18 in the tournament. Bangladesh finishes without a win in the group of death after securing a place in the Super 12.

Australian pace bowler Josh Hazlewood has been phenomenal throughout this edition of the T20 World Cup. He booked 4th place on this list. Hazlewood scalped 11 wickets with an average of 15.90 and also took 3 wickets in the final game against New Zealand. Meanwhile, as a result, Australia finished as the Champions for the first time in the T20 World Cup.

#1. Wanindu Hasaranga | Sri Lanka | 16 Wickets
Sri Lankan bowling all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga tops the chart as he is the leading wicket-taker in the T20 World Cup stages. Not only this edition but also he is the most wicket-taker (16) comparing all the editions. The previous best was also Sri Lankan spinner Ajantha Mendis, who took 15 wickets in the 2014 edition.
Meanwhile, Hasaranga scalps 16 wickets with an impressive average of 9.75 in this edition. Although Sri Lanka failed to reach the Semi-Finals, Hasaranga holds the record for most wickets in the T20 World Cup. Hasaranga also took a hat-trick against South Africa in the Super 12 game.
