Wriddhiman Saha, the Indian wicket-keeper batter makes his comeback in Bengal cricket as he joins Rashmi Medinipur Wizards for Bengal Pro T20 League 2024, replacing their captain Abhimanyu Easwaran, who is currently at the National Cricket Academy. Easwaran, the marquee player and captain of the franchise, will be unavailable for the whole tournament due to an injury.
Saha, the 39-year-old keeper-batter had left Bengal in the 2021-22 season after a dispute with the Cricket Association of Bengal and decided to join Tripura as a captain-cum-mentor.
However, there were reports that Saha might be returning to Bengal cricket as Sourav Ganguly met him a week ago requesting the Siligur boy to play another season for Bengal before calling it a day.
Post that Saha asked for a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Tripura Cricket Association to be able to make his return to Bengal cricket.
