Team News: Fantasy Cricket Team Dream 11 Prediction

IPL Fantasy League Team News: Punjab Kings

Punjab Kings will be looking to comeback after their humiliating loss against the CSK team. They could only manage 106 in their 20 overs.

KL Rahul was a bit unlucky to get run out. Whereas none of the batters could just hold on to their wicket. However, debutant Sharukh Khan showed his charm a bit. He is surely another young prospect of the Punjab team.

Its time for Nicholas Pooran. Pooran has been like hot or cold in his entire IPL career. He has not scored a single run yet in his last two matches. In the bowling line up we don not think they will make some changes unless Jordan comes in for Richardson or Meredith.

Murugan Ashwin could also be replaced by young leggie Ravi Bishnoi. Shami, the most senior bowler in the team needs to set up with more wickets to make the inroads for other bowlers.

IPL Fantasy League Team News: Delhi Capitals

No one thought Delhi would loose to Royals. But they did. Delhi is one of the most talked-about team of the tournament with the pool of talent they have in their squad.

Shaw and Shikhar will be opening. Rishav played a gritty knock in the last match. Therefore he will also be confident. However, Stoinis have not fired yet with the bat. Though its been only two matches to the IPL 2021.

The news is the Arnich Nortje is back with the squad and will be available for selection. He might come in for Tom Curran who could not do bit much in last two matches. Ravi Ashwin looked good but not at his prime yet. Young Lalit Yadav is a good all-rounder too.

Delhi is one of the most equipped team. It will be interesting to see who they uses their resources to to effect.

Pitch Report: JSCA International Stadium Complex

India vs South Africa 1st ODI Preview: Head-to-head Stats, Possible XI, Pitch Report, Streaming Details

The surface at the JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi offers a very balanced wicket, and offers an added advantage to the bowlers. The outfield here usually has been on the slower side, meaning batters have to find gaps with precision and power to get full value for their runs.

The only 300-plus total came at this venue back in 2019 when Australia faced India. Hence, the team winning the toss and restricting the opposition batters under 300 could be a decider at this venue tomorrow as well.

Weather Report

Winters are increasing in Ranchi, similar to North India. On the match day, Sunday, the minimum temperature in Ranchi is expected to be 14 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature is predicted to reach 24 degrees Celsius.

Clouds are expected to move across the sky throughout the day, and winds will blow at a speed of approximately 9 kilometers per hour. The good news is that there is no threat of rain. Thus, cricket fans will be able to enjoy the match without any interruptions.

Possible Lineups

India: Rohit Sharma, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Virat Kohli, Ruturaj Gaikwad, KL Rahul (c), Rishabh Pant (wk), Ravindra Jadeja, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Harshit Rana, Kuldeep Yadav, Arshdeep Singh.

South Africa: Quinton de Kock (wk), Aiden Markram, Temba Bavuma (c), Matthew Breetzke, Dewald Brevis, Corbin Bosch, Keshav Maharaj, Prenelan Subrayen, Nandre Burger, Lungi Ngidi, Ottneil Baartman.

India vs South Africa Match Prediction

Both teams have some weaknesses going into this game. India have an inexperienced bowling attack where Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj are not available. Arshdeep Singh, Harshit Rana and Prasidh Krishna need to do bulk of the job, who have played a combined of 40 odd ODIs. South Africa have Marco Jansen and Lungi Ngidi, two of their experienced pacers, with Keshav Maharaj.

Without Gill and Shreyas Iyer, India also have to adjust to two new faces in the top four. Yashasvi Jaiswal, Ruturaj Gaikwad, and Tilak Varma are good options, but they are very new in this format. That is why South Africa look more settled at the moment, and they can start the ODI series with a win.

After a disappointing 2-0 clean sweep defeat against South Africa, Team India is all set to begin their three-match ODI series against the Proteas beginning on November 30. The series comes at a time when India are dealing with key injury setbacks at the top of their white-ball setup.

Newly appointed ODI captain Shubman Gill, who was slated to lead the side for the first time in the format, has been ruled out after injuring his neck during the first Test in Kolkata. Vice-captain Shreyas Iyer also continues his recovery from the injury he suffered on India’s tour of Australia, leaving the leadership group temporarily depleted. In their absence, the responsibility of leading the team returns to KL Rahul, who last captained India in the 2023 ODI series against South Africa, a contest India won 2–1.

So, before the India vs South Africa ODI series to begin, let's take a look at the result of every ODI series between India and South Africa.

India vs South Africa: Last encounter in ODI

Result of every India vs South Africa ODI series

The last encounter between India and South Africa in an ODI was during the three-match ODI series in 2023 in Paarl, South Africa.

Sanju Samson hit a fine century as India defeated South Africa by 78 runs in the third ODI to clinch the series. Sent into bat, India lost both the openers early before Samson (108 off 114 balls), which was his maiden ODI hundred, and Tilak Varma (52 off 77 balls) made useful contributions to take 296 for eight. Rinku Singh (38 off 27) also chipped in for the visitors.

Chasing 297, opener Tony de Zorzi made 81 off 87 balls but none of the other Proteas batter could support him as the hosts were bowled for 218 in 45.5 overs. For India, Arshdeep Singh (4/30), Washington Sundar (2/38) and Avesh Khan (2/45) were the main wicket takers.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the India A squad for two upcoming four-day matches against South Africa A, scheduled to be held at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru. These matches, set from October 30 to November 2 and November 6 to 9, 2025, are crucial as India prepares for its senior Test series against South Africa starting mid-November.

Rishabh Pant has been named captain and wicketkeeper for both matches, marking a significant return to professional cricket following a foot injury sustained earlier this year. Pant’s comeback is highly anticipated after a three-month recovery, during which he missed key matches, including India’s recent Test fixtures. Sai Sudharsan will serve as vice-captain, providing leadership support for this promising squad.

The squad for the first match includes a blend of young talent and experienced players, featuring Pant, wicketkeepers Ayush Mhatre and N Jagdeesan, vice-captain Sudharsan, and batters like Devdutt Padikkal and Rajat Patidar. Spin-bowling all-rounders such as Harsh Dubey, Tanush Kotian, and Manav Suthar bolster the side, alongside pace options Khaleel Ahmed and Gurnoor Brar.

For the second match, the selection committee has brought in established Test players KL Rahul, Mohammed Siraj, and promising bowlers Prasidh Krishna and Akash Deep. Dhruv Jurel will also be available as a wicketkeeper. This line-up aims to provide robust competition to South Africa A and valuable red-ball experience to fringe players eager to earn a spot in the senior national team.

These matches form part of South Africa A's tour of India and offer selectors an opportunity to evaluate emerging talents in the longer format under competitive conditions. The first game will start at 9:30 AM IST on October 30, followed by the second game commencing at the same time on November 6.
