Real Madrid vs Las Palmas: Match Preview

15th-placed Las Palmas are all set to hit the road to square up against Real Madrid, who recently suffered a humiliating defeat in the Madrid derby. The visitors are heading into this fixture on the back of a win and will look to cause an upset. But it won't be easy as Real Madrid will be eager to return to winning ways.

Los Blancos had won each of their first five league games and were sitting at the top of the table comfortably. However, a defeat to the city rivals has seen them fall down to third, having accumulated 15 points in six outings.

They were far from their best against Atletico and ended up losing 3-1 on the night. Carlo Ancelotti's men had more of the ball, and they took more shots on goals. But they were not clinical enough on the night. And, the Merengues will now look to bounce back when they host Las Palmas.

The visitors had failed to win a game out of their first five outings in the 2023/24 season. However, they managed to end their winless run last time out when they squared up against Granada. Three points from the last outing have helped them climb up to the 15th place with five points in their six matches.

They are heading into this fixture on the back of a clinical 1-0 win over Granada. The visitors dominated the ball and they were the better side on the night. Thanks to a late winner by Kirian Rodríguez they ended up claiming all three points.

While Las Palmas will be heading into this fixture high on confidence, it won't be easy by any means as Real Madrid will desperate to return to winning ways.
