France booked their tickets for the quarter-finals of the FIFA Women's World Cup 2023 after a comfortable victory over Morocco. Kadidiatou Diani opened the scoring with a close-range header before setting up goals for both Kenza Dali and Eugenie Le Sommer in the first half to make the game safe. Eugenie Le Sommer scored another one in the second half to secure the game completely. France will play the hosts Australia in an action-packed quarter-final after an easy victory over Morocco.

Renard's clipped pass was flicked on imaginatively by Dali to release Diani in the inside-right channel. She cut the ball back to Dali, 15 yards out, and she swept a first-time shot into the net via the far post. Le Sommer was in an offside position but she wasn't in Er-Rmichi's eyeline, so the goal stand.
