Also, defender Bremer suffered an ACL injury and he is likely to miss out for the whole season. Teun Koopmeiners and Nico Gonzalez both have injuries, and Arkadiusz Milik is recovering from a long-term knee injury.
Currently seventh in the UCL league table, Juventus will eye for a win to strengthen their position.

VfB Stuttgart
Stuttgart is totally in the opposite position than Juventus in terms of performance in the UCL but on the same page in case of injuries. Stuttgart lost their opening game against defending champions Real Madrid by 1-3 in the opening UCL match-week. Following that defeat, the German side was held to a 1-1 draw against Sparta Praha in the second match-week.
However, Stuttgart is also coming from a distressing 0-4 defeat against Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich last week and they are also 10th in the Bundesliga table right now, which may down their morale. Also, they have not won any of their last five games and their last win came exactly one month before, against Dortmund whom they thrashed by 5-1 in the Bundesliga on 22 September 2024.

VfB Stuttgart is also facing several injury concerns as well. Head coach Sebastian Hoeneß will have to field his eleven without the services of a handful of players such as Chris Fuhrich, Dan-Axel Zagadou, Luca Raimond, Leonidas Stergiou, and Nikolas Nartey; all are going to be sidelined in this important battle against the Italian side.
Enzo Millot, Jamie Leweling, and Deniz Undav are going to be instrumental for the German side against the well-structured defence of Juventus. Stuttgart is 25th in the league table right now and all they will try is to improve their position in the league table.

Head-to-head
Juventus and Stuttgart will face each other for the first time in any competition.
However, Stuttgart won only time in their history out of the 11 European matches they played against an Italian opposition. They have 4 draws and 6 defeats by their name against Italian teams while their only win came in 1979, beating Torino by 1-0 in the UEFA Cup.
On the contrary, Juventus won all 5 of their last 5 major European games against German opposition, including their latest win against RB Leipzig by 3-2 in the second match-week of the UCL 2024-25.
