Group Stage Draw

Group A

The first group of the Champions League, Group A is a tricky one. Because, we can expected Bayern and Manchester United to advance into the Round of 16 stage but Galatasaray have some quality players who can spoil those two club's party.

  • Bayern
  • Manchester United
  • Copenhagen
  • Galatasaray

Group B

In Group B, the top two positions can be expected to be won by Arsenal and Europa League Champions, Sevilla. But PSV have defeated Arsenal last season in the Europa League so it wouldn't be fair to completely count them out.

  • Sevilla
  • Arsenal
  • PSV
  • Lens

Group C

In Group C we have defending Serie A champions, Napoli and the most successful team of this competition, Real Madrid. They can expect an easy route to the round of 16 stage.

  • Napoli
  • Real Madrid
  • Braga Union
  • Berlin

Group D

Group D is what you can an open group. The chances of Inter and Benfica reaching the Round of 16 game is high but the other two teams have the potential to surprise the world.

  • Benfica
  • Inter
  • Salzburg
  • Real Sociedad

Group E

Atletico Madrid can be expected to win this group but the fight for the second place will be mind blowing. All three teams other than the Spanish side have more or less equal potential of reaching the knockout stage.

  • Feyenoord
  • Atletico
  • Lazio
  • Celtic

Group F

Group F is what you call a Group of Death. Each and every team in this group have the ability to defeat one another and the matches are going to be fascinating. It's very difficult to predict anything from this group and would be very unfair too, to give a team any kind of advantage.

  • Paris
  • Dortmund
  • Milan
  • Newcastle

Group G

The second last group, Group G is where the defending champions, Manchester City have been drawn. They are favourites to top the group and German side RB Leipzig is also expected to advance into the knockout stages.

  • Man City
  • Leipzig
  • Crvena Zvezda
  • Young Boys

Group H

Barcelona are expected to top this group quite comfortably and advance into the knockout stages of the Champions League with great confidence after missing out on a few in previous occasions. The team to take up the second place have to be between Porto and Shakhtar Donetsk, it would be an interesting battle to witness.

  • Barcelona
  • Porto
  • Shakhtar Donetsk
  • Antwerp
