Two representatives of Bengal โ€“ Adamas University and Calcutta University โ€“ made it to the quarterfinals of womenโ€™s table tennis at the Khelo India University Games 2023.

Madras University won 3-0 against Lalit Narayan Mithila University in the third round of womenโ€™s table tennis Group A match on Thursday. Chitkara University won 3-1 sets against Pune University on Savitribai Phule. In the Group B match, Delhi University defeated Maharaja Krishna Kumarsinji Bhavnagar University by 3-0 sets. Chandigarh University won 3-0 against VELS University. Calcutta University won by 3-0 in straight sets in Group C against Savitribai Phule against Pune University.

Kolkata paddlers did not lose a single game in the match. Chandigarh University won 3-0 against Osmania University. Jain University defeated Smt. Nathanibai Damodar Thackeray Womenโ€™s University by 3-1 sets in Group D match. Punjab University won the match in a five-set hard-fought match. They defeated Adamas University in 3-2 sets. Chitkara Universityโ€™s opponent in the quarter-finals is Punjab University. SRM University will play against Chandigarh University. Madras University opposite Adamas University. Calcutta Universityโ€™s counterpart is Delhi University.

On the other hand, Chandigarh University gets a walkover against Mizoram University in the second round of menโ€™s table tennis. Adams University defeated Savitribai Phule University of Pune in straight sets 3-0. SAGE University won by 3-1 set against VELS World University. Meanwhile, Chitkara University defeated SRM University by 3-0. Lalit Narayan Mithila University won 3-1 against Delhi University. Mumbai University beat Punjabi University by 3-1 sets. North Bengal University lost 1-3 sets to Madras University.

On the other hand, Mangalore University defeated Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University by 25-21, 25-15, 25-20 points in the boysโ€™ volleyball category. Calicut University battled with Madras University in boysโ€™ volleyball. After the five-set fight, Madras won by 25-22, 25-23, 21-25, 28-30, 15-13. SRM University defeated Bharti Vidyapeeth by 25-20, 25-16, 25-18 points. Meanwhile, In the girlsโ€™ category, Punjabi University won by 25-14, 25-22, and 25-15 against India University. SRM University beat Shree Kushal Das University by 25-11, 25-15, 25-10.
