With this jump, Shaili became second all-time behind her role model and 'mentor' Anju Bobby George. In addition, Assam sprinter Amlan Borgohain's men's 100m and 200m double titles also paled in front of Shaili's performance.

At the same time, Nineteen-year-old Shaili improved her personal best by 28 cm at the Indian Grand Prix 4. In this way, she has surpassed Aishwaya Babu (6.73 m), JJ Shobha and V Neena (6.66), Mayookha Johnu (6.64), M Prajusha, Nayana James and Ancy Sojan (6.55) in the all-time high jump list. Moreover, Shaili managed to cross the standard set by the Athletics Federation of India for the Asian Games but fell nine centimeters short of the qualifying standard for the 2023 World Championships.

Meanwhile, Shaili's four valid jumps were better than Nayana James' best effort of 6.53m. Her Indian Grand Prix 4 series was 6.58m, foul, 6.76m, 6.64m, and 6.66m. Nayana also beached the Asian Games qualifying standards. While in the women's shot put, Rio Olympian Manpreet Kaur produced a best effort of 16.81m to win the gold medal. She also breached the Asian Games qualifying standard of 16.30m.

On the other hand, Amlan Borgohain claimed the 100 and 200m titles with times of 10.53s and 20.78s, respectively at the Indian Grand Prix 4. The Assamese sprinter now owns the three fastest times by Indians in the half-lapper. He set the national record of 20.52 seconds in the AFI Federation Cup in Kozhikode last year and the 20.55 he obtained in the National Games in Gandhinagar back in October.
