Khelo India Youth Games had to postpone quite a few times in the last 1-and-a-half-year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, it is finally taking place from 4 June and will continue till 13 June.

Five different Indian cities will host the Khelo India Youth Games; Panchkula, Ambala, Chandigarh, Shahabad, and Delhi. Almost 5,100 athletes from all over India will participate in 25 various sports. Some games have been added this year for their promotion. These games are yogasana, kalaripayattu, mallakhamb, gatka, and thang-ta.
The last time this tournament took place was in January 2020 for the U-17 and U-21 age groups. This edition is for the U-18 age group. Also, this is going to be the first time that this tournament will take place in so many cities and not during January.
