Spain's tennis player Carlos Alcaraz has again become the No.1 tennis player in the world. He achieved this feat after winning the men's singles final of the Indian Wells 2023 tennis tournament. In this title match, Alcaraz defeated Daniil Medvedev of Russia in straight sets 6-3, 6-2.

Alcaraz is the youngest player in the world to win the Indian Wells 2023 tennis title. After winning the final, Carlos Alcaraz got the chair of the world's No.1 tennis player. In this case, he left behind Novak Djokovic of Serbia. Novak has now slipped to number two in the ATP rankings.
In addition, during this title match, Carlos Alcaraz stopped the campaign of 19 consecutive victories of Daniil Medvedev of Russia. Alcaraz and Medvedev did not meet in 2022 despite both men debuting as World No. 1 and spending 16 weeks atop the Pepperstone ATP Rankings during the year. Their lone previous ATP Head-to-Head meeting came at Wimbledon in 2021, when Medvedev cruised to a straight-sets win.
"It means a lot to me. To recover the No. 1 is crazy for me. But especially to lift the trophy here for me means a lot. I love this tournament. I really enjoy my time here and of course I felt the love from the people from day one. For me, it's amazing to complete these 10 days like this." Alcaraz said after wrapping up the Indian Wells 2023 Tennis tournament win in a rapid one hour, 10 minutes.

Daniil Medvedev could not stand in front of the 19-year-old Spanish player. During this, Carlos did not give any chance to his opponent to return while playing excellent tennis. He took a 2-0 lead while making a great start. Carlos won the first set 6-3 in 36 minutes. During this, he dropped only 6 points. In the third set as well, he continued his blistering performance. Carlos Alcaraz won the second set by a margin of 6-2.
On the other hand, Elena Rybakina of Kazakhstan was successful in winning the final of Indian Wells 2023 tennis Women's Singles. She defeated the world's second seed Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus in the title match. Wimbledon champion Rybakina avenged the Australian Open final by defeating Sabalenka 7-6, 6-4. After this victory, Rybakina has become the world's number seven player in the WTA rankings. Rybakina has won the Indian Wells Women's Singles title for the first time in her career.
