India's archery compound women's trio of Jyothi Surekha Vennam, Aditi Swami and Parneet Kaur continued their stellar performance to clinch the gold medal in the third leg of the Archery World Cup final in Antalya, Turkey, on Saturday.

With this, the Indian trio's hat-trick of gold medals in the Archery World Cup in 2024 was completed. The team had won gold medals in two consecutive World Cups in Shanghai and Yecheon in April and May earlier this year.
India defeated El Salvador and Turkey to enter final
The world number one Indian compound women's team defeated sixth-ranked Estonia's Lisell Jaatma, Meeri-Marita Paas and Maris Tetsmann (232-229) in the one-sided title clash to win gold.
In Stage 3, India got a bye in the first round, which included only 10 countries, and then defeated El Salvador 235–227 and host Turkey 234–227 to enter the final.
Men's team lost to Turkey
However, the top Indian men's team comprising Priyansh, Abhishek Verma and Prathamesh Fuge lost to Turkey 236-236 (shoot-off 30*-30, Turkey shot close to the centre) in the Archery World Cup semi-finals. India also lost to France 236-235 in the bronze medal match.
Indian men's compound archer Priyansh will also compete for the bronze medal during the day.
Ankita and Dhiraj reached semifinals
In the recurve category, Ankita Bhakat and Dhiraj Bommadevara are also in the race for two medals as both have reached the individual semi-finals.
Dhiraj beat Bangladesh’s Mohammed Sagor Islam 6-0, Indonesia’s Riau Salsabilla 7-1, Colombia’s Santiago Arango 6-4, and Germany’s Jonathon Vetter 7-3 to set up a semifinal clash with Korea’s Olympic and World Champion Kim Woojin.
While Ankita got past Iran’s Mobina Fallah 6-4, Ukraine’s Veronika Marchenko 7-1, China’s Li Jiaman 6-5 (shoot-off: 9-8) and Korea’s Jeon Hunyoung 6-4. Ankita will face China’s top-ranked Yang Xiaolei.
