India's ace shuttler, PV Sindhu will lead the Indian challenge at the Singapore Open 2024 BWF Super 750 tournament starting today.  

After her impressive performance at the recent Malaysia Masters in Kuala Lumpur, Sindhu would like to end her title drought in Singapore Open. 

All eyes will be on Satwik-Chirag

In the men's doubles event, all eyes will be on India's Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy, who are looking for their third title of the season after the French and Thailand Open.

Reigning Olympic singles champions Viktor Axelsen and Chen Yufei will lead a world-class assortment of top global stars at the BWF Super 750 tournament.

On his way to defending his Olympic crown at the Paris Olympics 2024 Summer Games, Axelsen won the Malaysia Masters men's singles title by defeating Malaysian ace Lee Zii Jia in the final on Sunday. Axelsen will start his campaign against defending Commonwealth Games champion Lakshya Sen of India.

At the same time, Lee, who is ranked tenth in the world badminton rankings, will be eyeing a hat-trick of finals after making it to the title decider in Thailand and Malaysia this month.

Two-time reigning Singapore Open men's singles champion Anthony Sinisuka Ginting will be seeded seventh for the Singapore Open, while his Indonesian compatriot, reigning All-England champion Jonatan Christie, is seeded third. 

Former world champion Loh Kean Yew will take on Lu Guangzhou of the People's Republic of China in his opening match.

In the women's category, current Olympic champion Chen and Rio 2016 gold medalist Carolina Marin have been seeded second and third respectively. An Seyoung of Korea Republic has got the top seed.

Tai Tzu-Ying was seeded fourth, but the Chinese Taipei star has withdrawn her name. China's Wang Zhiyi, who won the Malaysia Masters title by defeating PV Sindhu last week, will be seeded seventh.

Tokyo 2020 silver medalists Chen Qingchen and Jia Yifan of China are seeded No. 1 in women's doubles.

Paris 2024-bound Australian women's doubles pair Setyana Mapasa and Angela Yu will also be in action at the Singapore Open 2024.
