Thomas Cup 2022 LIVE: India defeats Denmark 3-2 to book a place in the final

India defeated Denmark by a 3-2 margin to book a place in the finals of the Thomas Cup 2022. H.S Pronnoy defeated Gemke in the last game.

H.S Prannoy did it for India. The experienced shuttler was down and out after the first set. However, he managed to put everything back for India to win the last match of the semi-final of the Thomas Cup 2022. Prannoy won the last set comprehensively by a 21-12 margin. He had won the second set of the last and final game of the Thomas Cup semi-final between India and Denmark. He won the second set by a 21-9 margin. Earlier he had lost the first set in the final match of the India vs Denmark semi-final match in the Thomas Cup 2022. The Indian shuttler fell down by 13-21. If he loses another set, India will have to settle with the Bronze medal in the tournament.

India's doubles pair Vishnuvardhan & Krishna could not help India to reach the finals in Thomas Cup 2022. India will have to wait for the final game between H.S Pranay and Gemke Rasmus. Indian pair lost in two straight sets by 21-14 and 21-13.

Earlier, India's Kidmabi Srikanth continued his remarkable form as he defeated Anders Antonsen in order three of the Semi-finals clash between India and Denmark in the Thomas Cup 2022. India got a 2-1 lead in the run for the final. Srikanth defeated the World Number 3 Anders 21-18, 12-21, 21-15 to win his bout in the race for the final.

Before Kdiambi, Indian doubles won a vital match against the Denish pair Kim Astrup and Mathias Christiansen. Indian pair Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty defeated the Denish doubles team by 21-18, 21-23 and 22-20 in a three sets thriller.

Earlier, Lakshya Sen was defeated by Victor Axelsen in the first order of the semi-final. The young shuttler could not handle the World No.1 player as he lost the game in just two sets. The Denish giant defeated the Indian powerhouse by 21-13 and 21-13.
