Bengal T20 League 2026: Full squads of each team after the auction

From Mohammed Shami, Shahbaz Ahmed, to Abishek Porel, every Bengal star would line up for their respective squads in the upcoming Bengal T20 League 2026.

Bengal T20 League 2026: Full squads of each team after the auction

After an enthralling auction on Sunday, eight franchises of the Bengal T20 League 2026 assembled their squads for the upcoming edition of the tournament. Shabhaz Ahmed was the most expensive player of the auction with a price tag of ₹12.20 lakh, while Abishek Porel followed him on the list with a price of ₹10.40 lakh. 

Mohammad Shami's inclusion in the auction made everything more interesting, with the India pacer getting picked up by Servotech Siliguri Strikers for ₹5.2 lakhs. Bengal captain Abhimanyu Easwaran and medium pacer Mukesh Kumar were another star attraction of the auction. 

Sobisco Smashers Malda

Malda, who were the joint-winners of the first edition of the tournament, used their Right to Match card to bring back their captain Mukesh Kumar for ₹9.60 lakhs. They also included Abhimanyu Easwaran for ₹8 lakhs. 

Veteran Writam Porel, young batter Ranjot Singh Khaira and Prayas Ray Barman will be important to their batting lineup alongside wicket-keeper Agniv Pan. 

Viraj Krishna was effective for them last season, while former Bengal captain Laxmi Ratan Shukla's son Agastya Shukla found his new team in Malda. Sumit Mohanta, Suraj Sindhu Jaiswal and Vikas Singh Sr will hold the key with the ball.

Rashmi Medinipur Wizards

Medinipur franchise built a solid squad with a mix of experience and youth. They went after last season's winning captain, Aamir Gani and also got the experienced Anustup Majumdar for a bargain of ₹2 lakhs.

Their opening pair of Vivek Singh and Abhishek Das will be the one to watch out for. Shreyan Chakraborty, who had a revolutionary season with Adamas Howrah Warriors, will be a key player for them in the bowling lineup, and Subham Sarkar's all-around skill will be important for them as well.

The spotlight will be on young Sayed Irfan Aftab and Agniswar Das as well.

Shrachi Rarh Tigers

Shrachi Rarh Tigers, who will have Wriddhiman Saha in their dugout this season, were able to keep Shahbaz Ahmed in their squad. Along with him, the inclusion of young all-rounder Rahul Prasad, Saurabh Kumar Singh and Dipanjan Mukherjee makes them a strong unit.

Sumit Nag, Sumanta Gupta, and Gaurav Singh Chauhan will be their key batter while Raju Halder's left-arm spin will help them control the middle overs.

Novus Royals Purulia

The franchise of the tournament were the busiest of all since they did not have the chance to use the Right to Match card. They went after star batters Sudip Kumar Gharami (₹9.40L) and Yuvraj Deepak Keswani (₹ 8.6 L). Ankur Paul and Sayan Shekhar Mandal's inclusion will provide depth to their batting lineup.

Along with the batting line, they made sure they left the auction with one of the strongest bowling units as well.

The inclusion of Ravi Kumar, the former U19 World Cup winner, Pradipta Pramanik, spin bowling all-rounder, Rohit, the leg spinner, and along with Pritam Chakraborty will make them a team to watch out for.

Ram Sen, who had scored a triple-century in a U-13 game in 2023, will be a player to watch out for as well.

Lux Shyam Kolkata Tigers

On the other hand, Lux Shyam Kolkata Tigers, who bowed out in the semi-finals last season, retained Abishek Porel (₹ 10.4 L) to make him the second most expensive player of the auction. 

They went after a few of the known faces of Kolkata Club Cricket in Ritwik Roy Chowdhury, Ayush Kumar Singh, Sourav Halder and Ronit Ghosh. 

However, with Soumyadip Mandal, last season's highest wicket-taker Sayan Ghosh, Prabhat Maurya, and MD Kaif, they will enter the season with one of the most versatile bowling units.

Murshidabad Kings

Last year's finalist, Murshidabad Kings, have got some great talents in their pool as well. Toufik Uddin Mondal, th young all-rounder who has featured for Railways U-23, was one of their best picks.

Along with him, Abhishek Raman, young Chandrahas Dash, and Aditya Purohit will be their main batter. However, all eyes will be on Ayan Bhattacharjee and Saksham Chaudhary's all-around skills. Saksham was also their most expensive buy at ₹ 8.4 lakhs.

Young Nuruddin Mondal, who had impressed one and all, including Wriddhiman Saha, last year, will spearhead the bowling lineup alongside left-arm seamer Rohit Kumar Das.

Servotec Siliguri Strikers

Now, when you have someone like Mohammad Shami and Ishan Porel in your bowling lineup, you must have had a great auction. Not only that, but Servotec Siliguri Strikers also got Karan Lal, who was the best batter in the tournament last season.

Besides that, Vishal Bhati and Kaushit Maity's recruitment as all-rounders is worth noting too. Sudip Chatterjee and Pramod Chandilla will provide the experience for them in the batting lineup.

Adamas Howrah Warriors

Finally, we have the defending champion, Adamas Howrah Warriors.

Just like last season, they have also built a solid squad and kept their last season's vice-captain, Shakir Habib Gandhi, in their squad. They also have all-rounder Writtick Chatterjee, who was the player of the season in the inaugural season.

Moreover, the inclusion of Bengal under-23 captain Shashank Singh will provide them with the balance of youth and experience. Kazi Junaid Saifi and Ankit Chatterjee will be their opening options, while Kanishk Seth and Yudhajit Guha will be their leader of the bowling unit.
