The new 5×5 Pro Indian Pro Basketball League 2022 will have 8 franchises competing in a "double round-robin league" format. The tournament will continue for 25 days. The original promoters of the UBA Pro Basketball League announced a new League is going to start late this year to boost and motivate the Indian basketball players. The UBA Pro Basketball League was India's first-ever private Pro Basketball League.

The eight participating teams are Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi, Jaipur, Lucknow, Chandigarh, Chennai, and Hyderabad. And the 8 names are Delhi Dominators, Chandigarh Conquerers, Lucknow Swarm, Jaipur Pink Pandas, Hyderabad Wildcats, Chennai Supernovas, Bengaluru Bulldogs, and Mumbai Stars.

The moto behind organizing an NBA-style tournament is to encourage the Indian talents and provide them with a professional platform. The league will take place under the brand name of 'All Air India Inc. The organizers also promised huge prize money, championship trophy, MVP trophies, and All-Star Game Trophies.

Ranjit Singh shared his past thoughts, learnings and goals to ANI:

Ranjit Singh of Bengaluru Torpedoes revealed that The upcoming prime volleyball League is going to provide professional setups for every player involved with the tournament. Practicing and playing in a professional environment will help in motivating and also getting ready for a bigger stage.

Ranjit shared his expectations, goals for the team, and personal experience while playing for India in an interview with ANI. He said, Pro Volleyball League will help the youth in the country and they will not struggle. The players will get the desired platform, we did not get that, but the upcoming players will hopefully get that. When I led the country in 2014, it was a huge responsibility and it was a huge challenge. I kept on talking to the players."
