And 2013 is the year that changed his entire career for good. On 23rd January 2013, MS Dhoni chose Rohit Sharma as the opener of the Indian cricket team and since then his cricketing career absolutely changed. Not only one, but he has also hit 3 double centuries and he becomes the only person to score 3 ODI double centuries. The second most successful opener in ODI is none other than the opening partner of Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan. Both of them have played many crucial locks for the nation and have bought both the title and glory home. The left-hander scored an amazing 97 runs in just 81 balls against England which health India win the match. He is also one of the players to score the joint-fastest half-century by an Australian in ODI. The former cricketer holds the record of being the fastest player to score 2000, 3000, 4000, 5000, 6000, and 7000 runs in ODI.
