BCCI issued the invitation to tender for the media rights for Indian Premier League seasons 2023-2027 on Tuesday.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India issued the invitation to tender for the media rights for IPL 2023-2027. There are possibilities of a bidding battle between Star, Viacom 18, Amazon, and many other leading media companies.

BCCI shared in a statement, "The Governing Council of the IPL invites bids from reputed entities to acquire the Media Rights for the Indian Premier League Seasons 2023-2027, through a tender process."

The 'Invitation to Tender' (ITT) contains the detailed terms and conditions governing the tender process including eligibility requirements, the process for submissions of bids, proposed media rights packages, and obligations. And one can access the document will be available only after payment and receipt of a non-refundable fee of INR 25 lakh and Goods and Services Tax of 4 lakh INR.

Only those satisfying the eligibility criteria set out in the ITT shall be eligible to bid: BCCI stated

Annexure A of this document has the steps to procure the ITT documents. The last date to purchase the ITT is 10 May 2022. BCCI's statement further stated, "Interested parties are requested to email the details of payment made for the purchase of the ITT to iplmediarights2022@bcci.tv, as per the procedure laid down in Annexure A. It is clarified that the ITT documents shall be shared only after receipt of payment of the non-refundable ITT fee."

It also stated, "Any interested party wishing to submit a bid is required to purchase the ITT. However, only those satisfying the eligibility criteria set out in the ITT and subject to the other terms and conditions set out therein shall be eligible to bid. It is clarified that merely purchasing this ITT does not entitle any person to bid. BCCI reserves the right to cancel or amend the bidding process at any stage in any manner at its discretion."
