Kerala declared at 356/9 despite Salman Nizar being unbeaten on 95. Mohammed Azharuddin played a quick knock of 84 from 97 balls to give the push Kerala were looking for.
Ishan Porel bagged 103/6 in 30 overs. Mohammed Kaif, Suraj Sindhu Jaiswal and Pradipta Pramanik returned with one wicket each.
Bengal batters looked to charge from the word go. But, three points looked a bit far despite openers Sudip Chatterjee and Shuvam Dey giving a 101-run opening partnership.
Sudip got out on 57 while debutant Shuvam Dey got out on 67.
Bengal 152/3 in 45 overs.

Jalaj Saxena's fighting 84 from 162 balls and Salman Nizar's steady unbeaten 64 from 205 balls made sure that Day 3 belonged to Kerala as they finished on 267/7 at the end of Day 3.
Mohammed Azharuddeen is also unbeaten on 30 from 48 balls. Ishan Porel took five wickets while Suraj Sindhu Jaiswal took the lone wicket of Saxena.

The speedster, who was making his return to the first-class arena after an injury, dismissed Roham Kunnummal and Baba Aparajith in back-to-back deliveries to send Kerala on the backfoot. Ishan dismissed Vathsal on the last ball of the day to make it 51/4 for Kerala.
Pradipta Pramanik took the other wicket for Bengal.
