The title match of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will be played between India and New Zealand on March 9 at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. India defeated Australia in the semi-finals, while New Zealand entered the title match by defeating South Africa.

After 25 years, once again these two teams will face each other in the title match of ICC's limited overs format.

India and New Zealand teams have clashed in the finals of ICC tournaments twice. The last time the two teams played each other was in the final of the World Test Championship (WTC) in 2021. 

In this title match, which lasted for six days due to rain, New Zealand's team dominated India and won by eight wickets.

India are going into the final of another ICC event unbeaten and will look to win their second consecutive title after the 2024 T20 World Cup triumph. 

On the other hand, New Zealand are also coming after a dominant run so far with their only loss coming against India in the group stage.

ICC Women's World Cup | First Edition Winner

The women's cricket World Cup was held 2 years before the first men's World Cup. In 1973, the tournament was first hosted with 7 teams participating in the tournament. The tournament was hosted by England. England became the champion by defeating Australia in the 60-over tournament.

India was not a part of it. The Indian women's cricket team made its debut in the Women's Cricket World Cup in 1978, which was hosted by India.

England scored a mammoth total of 279/3 in 60 overs with Enid Bakewell scoring 118 and captain Rachael Heyhoe Flint contributing 64. Australia struggled to chase the target and scored 187/9. Bakewell became the highest run scorer in the tournament. She scored 264 runs. Rosalind Heggs of England took the most wickets with 12.

The Indian pair has also racked up the most opening partnership runs in ODIs. Ganguly and Tendulkar scored 6609 opening runs while batting together.

2. Tillakaratne Dilshan-Kumar Sangakkara | 20

Tillakaratne Dilshan and Kumar Sangakkara of Sri Lanka have shared 20 100-plus stands among themselves in ODI cricket. Dilshan was a brutal hitter in his prime and accompanied by one of the best wicketkeeper-batsman Sangakarra haunted many bowling lineups. They have a batting average of 53.67 and have scored 5475 runs in 108 innings.
