WPL 2025: Chinelle Henry replaces injured Alyssa Healy at UP Warriorz

UP Warriorz have included West Indies' player Chinelle Henry as a replacement for injured Alyssa Healy for the WPL 2025.

The third season of the Women's Premier League is going to start from 14 February in Vadodara.

UP bought Chinelle for 30 lakh

Chinelle Henry has so far played 62 T20I matches for West Indies. While batting she has scored 473 runs.

Apart from this, Chinelle has also taken 22 wickets while bowling.

UP Warriorz had included this player in the team with a base price of Rs 30 lakh.

'try and get my body right'

Healy, who captained Australia in the recent Women's Ashes match against England, was ruled out of the WPL 2025 due to a strain in her right leg.

"Unfortunately for me, I've got a couple of months of feet up. I'm pretty bummed by that, but at the same time elated to have a little bit of downtime and try and get my body right,”

The wicketkeeper batter had made 34 in Australia's lone innings of 440, as the home side recorded a thumping innings and 122-run win.

RCB also got replacement

Last time champion Royal Challengers Bangalore has also made 2 changes.

Two star players Sophie Devine and Kate Cross are not going to be a part of RCB this time. They will not feature in the WPL 2025 due to personal reasons.

Now RCB has included Heather Graham and Kim Garth in the team in place of these two players, who were bought by RCB for the base price of Rs 30 lakh each.

The 35-year-old Devine has taken an indefinite break from the game. ”

“Player well-being is paramount to us - it takes precedence over everything else,” Liz Green, NZC's head of women's high performance development, had said last week.

“Sophie's had excellent support from the New Zealand Cricket Players Association and from our own high performance unit staff, and everyone agrees this is the best option available,” she said.

Cross, the England all-rounder, is recuperating from a back injury.
