They bowled well and then completed the chase comfortably. Mustafizur Rahman picked up four wickets on his CSK debut while another debutant Rachin Ravindra played an important and fiery knock of 37. None of the RCB bowlers could threaten CSK's batters and it was a cakewalk for them. The only weak link to CSK's bowling attack is Tushar Deshpande who hasn't been improved since last season.

Ruturaj Gaikwad will have to improve after that poor knock while Daryl Mitchell will be looking not to throw away his wickets this time. In the bowling unit, Deepak Chahar and Tushar Deshpande will have to improve otherwise it would be difficult for CSK to stop Gujarat from scoring. Ravindra Jadeja bowled well in the match against RCB and he also scored some valuable runs during the chase. Sameer Rizvi didn't get the opportunity to come into bat and he will be curious to face his first delivery in the IPL MS Dhoni also didn't get the chance to come into bat but he will be ready whenever the team needs him.

Spencer Johnson picked up two wickets in the first match and will try to get some more in the match against CSK. Rashid Khan didn't get any wickets but was brilliant with the ball and didn't concede more than 25 runs in his 4-over spell. He always has been consistent for the national side and the franchises and it remained the same this time also.
